The international peace garden concept was intended to represent a celebration of peaceful coexistence between two nations, the United States and Canada, illustrating to the world their commitment to world peace. The peace tower stands at 120 feet high. The four columns symbolises the four corners of the earth, from which thousands of immigrants arrived in Canada and US in 1800s and 1900s. Two columns stand in Manitoba and two in North Dakota, facing each other in two similar but separate societies. The 4000 miles long border lies in between is the longest undefended boundary in the world.
A botanical garden encompassing 2,339 acres of nature's beauty housing two pristine fresh water lakes, scenic drives, formal and wildflower displays, waterfalls and large variety of North American birds and animals. Not forgeting a peace chapel, displaying meaningful remembrance of Sept 11 as well as a Bell Tower, which rings every 15 mins during warmer months in remembrance of 2 sons of their loving mother.
